Hello, nice to meet you.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri where I discovered my vigor for all things creative
and unique.

After highschool, I found myself and The University of Kansas where I studied graphic design and
the fine arts in general. While I was there, I went to Italy with a photography study abroad group
and backpacked around for a few weeks after.

I am currently living in Chicago and working as a graphic designer. I create in my spare time and
try to stay inspired by keeping a camera on me and constantly exposing myself to new ideas.

Why themoviesinmyhead? The name of my web site was inspired by a Q&A session in the movie
Stop Making Sense between David Byrne (of The Talking Heads) and himself. It was a perfect fit
because this site is so all-inclusive of my work.

Whether I am creating logos or ugly dolls or doodles, I always am thinking about what I'm doing
and how I can make it better or different or smarter. For me, making art is a series of conscious
decisions that, if performed in any other order, would result in a completely different piece.

I try to find inspiration in everything. I love vintage books, antique markets, ebay, anything having
to do with etiquette, words, phrases, and summertime in Chicago.

Mostly, I just love to create things.
